Auto package prolonging the inevitable
GM, Chrysler,Ford...economic woes... the government panic draws very little sympathy outside of the production yard of these companies who over the years of turning out a good product got their economic rear ends in an atmosphere that the basic human function could no longer be smelled. Who do we blame it on? The union greed, the corporate greed, the greed of society as a whole to live so high above the hog that everyone has forgotten to realize what life is all about. Sadly, such greed to produce/aquire something bigger and better has created expectations among the upcoming generation that will be extremely difficult for anyone to measure up to. One finds it difficult to feel sorry for those who say they cannot be expected to take a nineteen hour cutback in salary...or even trying to find a sympathetic feeling for the loss of the funding for the future education of offspring as part of the contract. Imagine how those Canadians in the working class that are just above the minimum wage trying to find a hair of symathy for the auto workers, corporate monkeyfigures or the politicians who struggle to say we have to ensure that such an industry survives. Have we forgotten of that theorist that wrote of the survival of the fittest. Ironically, we are told of the new generation of workers will be involved in the technological world minus the manufacturing component, excluding auto production. Get real! As others stuggle to make ends meet, our politicians with indexed pensions fail to stare reality in the face. Canadians, young Canadians, are not in a position to move forward. The inflated lifestyle coupled with rectangular boxes of cold cermic are not reality! How can we continually promote the the urban lifestyle of quarter million dollar housing on department store benefits. So, auto workers, corporate jungle jumpers and politicians continue pressing on what we need to do to survive with your heads in the sand while the rest of Canada moves on with the daily stuggles of survival.
